Gourmet Mushrooms Inc. began as a small farm selling direct to the great restaurants which flourished in the San Francisco Bay Area in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Thomas Keller, Wolfgang Puck and Michael Mina were all early supporters.

We grow more varieties of organic specialty mushrooms than any farm in America - Trumpet Royale, Alba Clamshell, Brown Clamshell, Forest Nameko, Velvet Pioppini, Nebrodini Bianco, and Maitake Frondosa. Specialty mushrooms add flavor, texture, and eye appeal to your dishes. Unlike wild-foraged varieties they also give you the added benefits of stable pricing and year-round availability. All this makes menu planning and food costing much easier.

Ordering & Shipping

We've expanded greatly in the past decades and now have excellent distributor/partners across the country, but we still enjoy working directly with chefs. If we have a produce wholesaler in your area, we’ll put you in contact with them, if not, you will find our direct-to-chef program surprisingly easy to use. Call us by noon Pacific Time and you will receive freshly harvested mushrooms in your kitchen by 10:30 the following morning!
